Today's Lesson :)

The lesson began with the starter activity of using the questionnaire which we developed for homework to carry out a pilot study. We asked five separate people (random sample) in are class to evaluate whether or not the questionnaire was as good as it needed to be in order for it to be sent to a larger amount of people. This would allow me to get the best possible standard of questionnaire and minimise error and maximise response rate. Then, taking into account the comments made by peers we were to make changes to the questionnaire.

Later into the lesson we were then separated into pairs, i worked with Ellie Gocher. In these pairs we had to annotate the features of a front cover of Q magazine on an A2 sheet of paper, using a magazine which was brought in from home. Developing ideas throughout. Lastly, we had to write up a paragraph, answering the question 'How effective do you think the front cover is? Why?'

What i will be doing ...

The task which i have been set is to create a front page, contents and double page spread of a new music magazine. This will be completed individually. The task itself is broken down into a number of different things to do. This includes, analysis of magazines, research into target market and many more. Should be fun!

Why blog?

The blog that i will be doing is a personal blog. This can be described as a running diary or commentary. This is the most common type of blogging. The reason why this is what i choose to do was because it allows people to see my magazine project from beginning to end and all its progress in between. I will finish my blog using question blogging, a blog which answers. This will allow me to evaluate my work. Famous examples, TMZ which is a US blog site which gives updates on all the latest celebrity action. It ranks 15h in the Guardians most powerful blogs.

A few pleasent words

Hats off to OCR!! I got to say and didn't think i would ever be saying this about school but ... I have a feeling that I'm going to enjoy this. Blogging ... what's next? Its something new to me, up there in today's modern life style. Not quite sure how I'm going to get on with this, guess your the judge of that ;) but i look forward to putting it all together.

Hello there, my name is Lewis Tillyer. I am a student at Sponne School currently studying AS Media, Sociology, Travel and Tourism and Psychology .... what was i thinking!! But cant complain, Sponne is not half bad ;) Outside of school you will only be able to find me in a select few places ..... asleep, gym, swimming or asleep! Oh wait nearly forget,WORK, don't know how i spend my whole weekends there :/ mind you i make a pretty good waiter ;) But anyway, this is my blog. Not quite sure happens from here, but should be interesting ....
